What to Expect at Your Evaluation
Each individual evaluation block is 30 minutes. Athletes should arrive early and check in at the front desk to receive their evaluation number and have a photo taken. You'll then have time to stretch and warm up on your own before meeting with a coach who will evaluate your tumbling and jumps skills.
Level specific skills will be reviewed during the evaluation process. If time permits, athletes may also demonstrate additional skills they want evaluated — but only with safe and proper technique.

Prep & Elite Athletes are invited back for additional sessions the following week. Novice athletes complete Individual Evaluations only. (There are no separate flyer evaluations.)

Team Placement & Season Kickoff
After evaluations are complete, our coaching staff will carefully review every athlete's recorded skills to assign appropriate team levels. Assigning the right level is a top priority — it is crucial to the success of our teams and to each athlete's individual growth. Even if an athlete is invited to practice with a team during the summer, teams will not be finalized until choreography.

Program Levels & Monthly Costs
Dream Athletics offers four competitive levels, each with different practice schedules and competition commitments. All fee installments are charged monthly by auto-debit. Review the breakdown below to understand what's included at each level.
Families with 2 or more athletes receive a $25 discount off the second and each subsequent sibling (immediate family only). All athletes must keep a valid card on file for payment processing.
  • Monthly fees are split between Gym Fees and AllStar Fees.
  • Tuition is the same regardless of the number or length of practices in a given month.
  • Monthly fees cover training only — it does not guarantee the right to perform.
  • A $25 late fee will be applied per occurrence. If a payment is declined due to insufficient funds at the time of processing, a $25 additional late fee will also be assessed.
The following items are NOT included in the monthly costs:
  • Elite Stunt Camp $125 per Elite Athlete - will auto-draft on June 22nd for all Elite athletes

Financial Policies & Payment Schedule
Parents are fully responsible for all costs associated with Dream Athletics membership — including gym registration fees, monthly tuition, apparel costs, competition and travel expenses, and any other purchased items or services. This applies regardless of circumstances such as dismissal or team disbandment. The Dream Athletics Auto Debit Authorization form must be completed at registration.

  • $25 service charge for failed payments (NSF, declined cards, expired cards, returned checks)
  • Parent is responsible for keeping payment info current
Financial Standing & Participation
Athletes must maintain an up-to-date account to participate in practices, competitions, private lessons, and special events. Dream Athletics reserves the right to withhold items, deny participation, or remove an athlete from the team due to unpaid balances. Payments received will first be applied to overdue tuition and fees. Tuition and fees must be fully paid before clothing, uniforms, or retail items are released.
Refund & Collections Policy
If an athlete leaves or is dismissed from the program for any reason before the season ends, all payments are non-refundable. Delinquent accounts may be turned over to a collections agency, and the parent/athlete will be responsible for all additional costs incurred.
Attendance, Tardy & Absence Policy
Dream Athletics takes attendance and punctuality seriously. Athletes must be present and on time for all team activities including practices, competitions, choreography sessions, and appearances — even those added unexpectedly during the season. Dream Athletics takes precedence over all other extracurricular activities. Excessive absences or tardiness may impact an athlete's position on the team.
Excused Absences

Tardiness Rules
  • More than 10 minutes late OR leaving 10+ minutes early = Unexcused Tardy

Competition Week Policy: Attendance is mandatory the two weeks leading up to any competition. Missing practice during this window may result in replacement at the coach's discretion. April practices are mandatory — no exceptions except extreme circumstances.
Summer Practice & Absence Policy
Summer practices run from June 8th through the start of school and are designed for skill building and conditioning. These sessions are critical — when an athlete misses too many practices, they can fall behind their teammates in both routine knowledge and physical readiness. Practices during the summer (outside of the official break window) are mandatory.
Summer Break: June 28 – July 11
The gym will be closed during this period. Please plan and book all family vacations within this window.
Classes, camps, and privates will be available during Summer Break. Stay tuned for info!
Absences outside of this break are subject to the standard summer attendance policy.
Make-Up Classes Policy
  • Up to 2 missed practices allowed without make-up requirement
  • After the 2nd miss, athlete must complete a class or private at their own expense
  • Classes must be reserved online through SportsEngine
  • Monthly class rates are discounted for Dream Athletes
Athletes who must miss most of the summer due to travel, parent custody arrangements, or other extended circumstances will be placed tentatively on a team. Their bill must remain current and be paid while absent — not deferred. When the athlete returns, their skill level will be evaluated. If they do not meet the skill requirements of their tentative team, they will be placed on the team that best matches their current abilities.
Fill Out an Absence Form
Athletes must complete an Absence Request Form any time they need to miss a practice. Submit it as early as possible — at least 3 weeks in advance for planned absences.
Injured or Ill Athletes
Athletes with non-contagious illnesses or injuries are still required to attend practice to stay current with routine changes and assist alternates or fill-ins.
School & Rec Teams
Athletes may participate on school/rec squads, but Dream Athletics always takes priority. Missing a Dream event for a school event may result in removal.
Quitting Fee - Quitting a team at any time is detrimental to the team. Fees are paid prior to the beginning of the competition season and quality time is spent on each and every athlete. If an athlete quits a team or is removed for failing to adhere to the policies and expectations, a fee of $400 will be owed and drafted within 2 days of separation from the gym.
If you quit after December, the remainder of the season fees will be due and you will not be released to any other program.
Competition Season Overview
The full competition schedule will be available late July or early August. Not all teams attend the same events — your team's schedule will be communicated clearly so you can plan accordingly. All competitions are subject to calendar updates, so be sure to check regularly throughout the season. There may be practices on or over holidays and school breaks — please stay alert to the posted calendar.
Novice
4–5 events All local, within 30–100 mile drive. One extra practice before each competition.
Prep
5–7 events All within Florida. Two 1.5-hr practices per week plus additional pre-comp sessions.
Elite
7–8 events Includes at least one out-of-state (tentatively, Cheersport). Two 2-hr practices per week.
Worlds
6–7 events Includes 1–2 out-of-state. Two practices per week, 2–3 hours each, with additional pre-comp sessions.
Each team may compete 1 to 3 times per month. The year-end schedule will be posted by late July/early August, and the end-of-competition-season schedule will be finalized by end of December. A national end-of-season event may be added for Novice and Prep teams if they qualify. April is a no-absence month — attendance is mandatory for all athletes to prepare for Summit and Worlds. Athletes may not compete on another all-star team during the Dream Athletics cheer season.
